Fresh Snow Along the West Fork Trail of Oak Creek Canyon

Fresh Snow Along the West Fork Trail of Oak Creek Canyon
A fresh blanket of snow covers the otherwise lush West Fork of Oak Creek hike near Sedona, Arizona.

Unless you want to risk breaking through the ice of the West Fork of Oak Creek and freezing your leg off, it’s best not to venture too far back when the trail is covered with this much snow.  Heading even just a half-mile back on the trail will leave you totally secluded in a place few ever get to see. With just the right conditions, the West Fork trail is completely transformed into an isolated winter wonderland.
