Fall Colors on Shadow Mountain

Fall Colors on Shadow Mountain
Fall colors decorate the side of Shadow Mountain east of Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming.

Though I’ve been up every morning before sunrise for the last week, last night’s weather put on a dynamic show on Shadow Mountain with plenty of fall leaves. I was originally just going to head out to Kelly, but caught a glimpse of Shadow Mountain exploding with color, so despite having never driven up there, I made the drive immediately, passing by herds of bison on a mission to get up close to the fall leaves. A few storms were in the area which made the lighting that much more interesting. Shadow Mountain is located just east of Grand Teton National Park and offers some exceptional views of the Tetons and Antelope Flats.
