Morning Frost in the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone National Park
Frost clings to a cottonwood tree in the dead of winter in the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone National Park.

Upon driving into the Lamar Valley on our second day in Yellowstone National Park this past weekend, the low had dropped down to -12 degrees.  This allowed for some really great frost photos as all the fog froze and stuck to the trees.  This was also the coldest part of our trip.  Overall the temperatures weren’t really that bad and were above 0 degrees for most of the trip.
