Hannagan Meadow in Eastern Arizona is the only sign of civilization you’ll find for dozens of miles along Highway 191. The highway climbs to more than 9,000 feet elevation keeping the area cool in the summer months making the area a nice getaway from the desert heat. At the lodge are a number of bird feeders where a rather large number of hummingbirds come to feed creating a consistent, loud hum on the porch of the lodge.
