Marmot in Grand Teton National Park

Marmot in Grand Teton National Park
A cautious marmot looks around in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming.

Marmots are very interesting creatures. They’re a lot like beavers just minus the large tail and obviously not in the water. I always enjoy seeing them for one because they’re much bigger than you’d expect and two because they sometimes seem just as curious as the people staring back at them. I found this one just off the junction of the Nature Trail and Amphitheater Lake Trail in Grand Teton National Park.
