One reason I love winter so much is seeing the different colors of the beginnings and ends of the days on snow-covered peaks. This particular one is of Jackson Peak as I was driving along the northern end of the National Elk Refuge. I had been getting a few of the Sleeping Indian when I noticed Jackson Peak was perfectly framed in a cottonwood tree in perfect light just waiting to have its picture taken.
